A solid fertilizer program is a critical component to maintaining a healthy and happy lawn. Fertilizers enhance the growth of lawn turf in essentially two ways. They act as an additive, which provides nutrients directly to the turf, as well as increase the effectiveness of the soil by altering water retention and aeration rates. At Edina Seasonal Services, we use custom blended fertilizer that our Minnesota Department of Agriculture certified professionals carefully apply at scientifically proven most effective times. At Edina Seasonal Services, we are committed to protecting the environment. As an extension of that commitment, we offer both professional grade dry granular chemical fertilizer or dry granular organic options, tailored to fit your individual needs.
Weed Control
Weeds come in many different varieties. Most lawn weeds fall into two main categories: Broadleaf Weeds (Dandelions, Chickweed, and Clover) and grassy weeds (Crabgrass and Nutsedge). Other than being unsightly, weeds pose a threat to your lawns’ overall health by depriving nutrients essential to your turf grass. Enlisting a professional weed control program is paramount to maintaining a lush lawn. Our weed control program is a two part system: preventing crabgrass before it gains a foothold by applying a pre-emergent product and by identifying existing broadleaf weeds and applying targeted efforts to get rid of them. At Edina Seasonal Services, all of our pesticide applicators have undergone extensive training and are certified by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. This training and certification ensures that we can offer you a tailored analysis of your lawn.
