Fertilizer/Pesticide Applicator
A growing, fast-paced full service lawn, landscape maintenance, and snow removal company seeks a full-time Fertilizer/Pesticide Applicator. The preferred candidate is an energetic, highly motivated individual with experience in the lawn care industry.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Position Type: Full Time – Year round pay
Location: Chaska, MN
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 6:45am – 5pm, additional/flexible hours as required including Saturday.
Basic Position Responsibilities
As an Edina Seasonal Services’ Fertilizer/Pesticide Applicator, you will be responsible to the Vice President of Field Operations – Lawn Division for professional and environmental best practice application of fertilizers and pesticides to customer lawns while promoting the company brand.
Essential Duties:
- Operate fertilizer and pesticide equipment including, but not limited to, Turfco 3000i, Toro ride on spreader and walk-behind spreaders
- Follow company safety program and all chemical protocols
- Perform daily maintenance check lists on equipment and chemicals
- Accurately record the use of inventoried product
- Perform effective time management and tracking
- Accurately complete paperwork and utilize mobile applications as required
- Adhere to schedules and routes per management direction
- Perform work in various weather conditions
- Promptly and respectfully communicate with customers to address their concerns, feedback and/or questions
Other Duties :
- Assist lawn and landscape division as needed
- During winter months, snow removal as required
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma strongly preferred
- 2 or 4-year degree desired, however, years of experience will be considered
Work Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in residential chemical application or related is strongly preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Licensing:
- Must be able to obtain Medical DOT health card
- Valid A and E licenses or the ability to obtain them
- Valid MN driver’s license required with clean driving record
- Proficient in operating fertilizer/pesticide application equipment with the ability to operate other lawn care equipment strongly preferred
- Reliable transportation required

- Ability to operate mobile and other cloud based technology

- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs., perform repetitive labor and work in inclement weather
